Under high pressure, some molecular crystals undergo metallization, molecular dissociation, and superconductivity. Molecular dissociation is that molecules become the single atomic structure. These are caused by atomic distance shrinking by pressuring. We focus on typical I2 in diatomic molecular crystals and, in addition, choose BI3 and SnI4 that differ in spatial structure for comparison, and intend to clarify the relation between the pressure-induced metallization and the molecule dissociation.
