In high pressure, it is predicted that hydrogen will be a room-temperature superconductor . But it is too high to observe the superconductivity of metallic hydrogen in experiments. So I focus on iodine and bromine that are in common with hydrogen. At ambient pressure, they are the diatomic molecular solids. We studied the diatomic molecular solids in high pressure by observation of iodine and bromine, which are the diatomic molecular solids in ambient pressure and a superconductor in high pressure. I will report on the physical properties about bromine mainly after introducing iodine.
