It is expected that fluid hydrogen metallize under high pressure and high temperature.
In fact, it is confirmed by shock wave compression experiments. However, transition
boundary between fluid insulator and fluid metal has not been clarified yet.
So we compress and heat hydrogen using LASER heating diamond anvil cell
(LHDAC) and examined relationship between temperature and LASER power at BL10XU, SPring-8.
Changing point was observed in the relationship, which is in good agreement with a
previously reported result of theoretical calculation.
