In 1988, Bi-oxide superconductor Ba1-xKxBiO3 (BKBO) was discovered at
Tc = 30K. This Tc value is the second high-Tc oxide superconductor
next to Cu-oxide superconductors. Some researchers believed that the superconductivity could not be explained within the BCS theory.
In this presentation I focus on BaPbxBi1-xO3 (BPBO) as one of the Bi-oxide superconductors.
I present NMR study on BPBO, and discuss the relationship of superconductivity and structure on BPBO.
As a result, I suggest that BPBO is one of the promising candidates for the superconductor mediated by valence skipping mechanism.
