To construct a molecular ratchet is an important theme in the field of molecular machines. However, it's still difficult to design or make a molecular ratchet. To make that, it's necessary to construct a dynamically variable system where each activation energy depends on direction. In my research, I've been trying to realize that system toward a molecular ratchet by using a rotaxane.
分子ラチェットの構築は、分子機械の重要なテーマの一つである。しかし、その設計や構築は困難であり、そのためには反応方向によって活性化エネルギーが変わるダイナミックな可変ポテンシャルの系を構築する必要がある。私はロタキサンを用いることでその系を実現し、分子ラチェットを構築しようと試みている。
