The lanthanoid elements cause various phenomena such as RKKY interaction, Kondo effect and valence fluctuation due to 4f electrons. As for these phenomena, Ce and Yb compounds has been studied in paticular. It was reported that pure Eu showed valence fluctuation and pressure-induced superconductivity. However, Eu compounds has not studied well. We are measuring the electric resistance under high pressure to study physical properties of EuGa4.
ランタノイド元素はRKKY相互作用や近藤効果、価数揺動といった4f電子に起因する様々な現象を引き起こす。これらの現象は特にCeやYbの化合物について研究されてきた。Euは価数揺動や圧力誘起超伝導を示すがその化合物はあまり研究されていない。現在、Euの化合物であるEuGa4の物理的性質を調べるため高圧力下における電気抵抗測定を行っている。
