We observed the ultrafast radiative decay whose time constant is the order of 100 fs in a high-quality CuCl thin film. This high-speed superradiance can be described by the model that the light wave and the excitonic wave in the film form a harmonized wave-wave coupling over a range of multiple wavelengths. This doesn’t rely on the conventional long-wavelength approximation. In this paper we discuss the validity of this mechanism in comparison of the theory and the experimental results.
