Title
High Pressure study of NaxTiNCl and CeFe2
Abstract

This presentation focuses on high pressure study of NaxTiNCl and CeFe2. NaxTiNCl is an inter-calated MNX type of compound and exhibits superconductivty at Tc = 18.1 K at ambient pressure. On applying pressure, there is a possibility of increase in the critical temperature.

On the other hand, CeFe2 is an interesting compound as it exhibits different properties from other RFe2 compounds due to strong hybridization of Ce valence bands with Fe 3d electron. At ambient pressure, CeFe2 exhibits ferromagnetism at Curie Temperature of around 230 K. In CeFe2, a probable switch to an anti-ferromagnetic state at low temperature occurs around 2 GPa, and the ferromagnetic state is completely replaced at pressure of about 6 GPa. This presentation discusses the study of CeFe2 at high pressure.
