Strongly-correlated electron materials show unique properties such as metal-insulator transition (MIT), high temperature superconductivity and colossal magnetoresistance by electrons being interacted strongly with each other. Among them, vanadium dioxide (VO2) is a promising material for electronics applications such as phase change memory and high speed switching devices using the MIT at around room temperature. In my presentation, I will explain the principle on the control of metal-insulator transition by electric field, so called Mott-transistor and introduce my research.
